Driving in Mallorca
An easy way to discover Mallorca is by car. Driving on the main roads
is quite simple and there are good highways and national roads, which
take you to many places on the island. But be cautious when driving
through villages, Tramuntana Mountain Range and little paths (cami),
as these can be a bit tricky at the beginning.
There are many rent-a-car companies available in Mallorca offering
from the most prestigious models to the affordable down-to-earth models.
Check the insurance coverage before renting. To rent a car, you need
to have had your license for more than one year and be at least 21
years old. Some of the rent-a-car offices open in the morning only.
Most of the petrol stations open from 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday,
a few of them are open 24hrs including Sundays.
