In the Calle de Portella is the Mallorcan Museum. Housed in an old Mallorcan mansion (1634), its archaeological exhibits include prehistoric, Roman, Moorish and medieval artifacts. Music & Theatre

Located on the Paseo Maritimo is the Auditorium, the concert hall where leading international music competitions, theatre and folk music festivals are staged. A stone lyre commemorates its founder, Marcos Ferragut. Rising at the point where the Paseo ends are the twin Pelaires towers, which date from the 14th century and once served to anchor the chains that were used to close off the small medieval harbour.
